Welcome to Our Parish

The Church of Most Holy Saviour, Agrar, is the mother parish of the Bantwal region — one of the oldest Catholic communities in coastal Karnataka. Our church is home to rare frescoes by Brother Antonio Moscheni, S.J. (1902) and has given rise to eight daughter parishes over more than a century of faith.

The Moscheni Frescoes

In 1902, Brother Antonio Moscheni, S.J. — the same Italian Jesuit artist who painted the celebrated St. Aloysius Chapel in Mangalore — adorned our church with exquisite frescoes that remain a rare artistic and spiritual treasure of the Diocese.
